Default No Heat!

2001 A4 1.8t 115,xxx miles

I have no heat, expect for maybe a few seconds when I turn it on, then its completely cold.

The tubing is semi-warm. I'm guessing its a clogged heater core. Does anyone know if theres a DIY online to flush the crud out?

I'd much rather try that first than to spend tons of money to have the dash removed and the core replaced.

Thanks!

When the timing belt was replaced, did you get a new water pump?
Did you refillthe system with fesh antifreeze?

Remove the cabin filter then you'll see the core fan, and the adjustable angeled door. make sure it opens and closes when you change from heat to cold. it's very easy to access. it's on passenger side front of the firewall. remove the plastic cover and the cabin filter.

Ok so heres how everything is working out.... See if anyone could give a good guess as to what it is...

[ul][*]New waterpump, t-stat, coolant when timing belt was replaced[*]Audi Dealer has to rewire A/C in August because it was not working. (AC wiring harness was rubbed against the crank pulley and wires were cut and ripped.) AC was rewired and resercured to fan shroud. Charged me $270.00 labor. (This was in August)[/ul]
Just recently I needed heat, and it wasn't working...
[ul][*]Checked for air in system....no air[*]Both tubes are warm, suggusting that its not a heater core?[*]When turn on 85-HI degrees it doesn't blow out warm air at all...almost seems like its the AC[/ul]
Could Audi have switched up some wires?
Somepeople sugguested blend door, which makes sense? Is that the same door Arif is talking about in the post above?

Please if anyone has any opinions let me know!

Thanks
