I hear this wierd noise when i start my car and the wierd thing is the noise changes when i turn my stearing wheel or hold down the window buttons. The noise goes away when push the snowflake button so im assuming its something with the ac. Can anyone help me out?

 

Sorry, I forgot to mention that I have the a4 with the 1.8t in it.

 

Take the serpintine belt off and run the engine, if the noise goes away its probably the a/c compressor.

 

The other thing is, it stops making the noise when i turn the heat on as well.

 

So? The a/c control head controls both, when our heaters are on so is the a/c compressor.
