I have an 01 a4 2.8 quattro auto transmission. Just went over an unreasonably large speed bump as slow as I could but still bottomed out a little. Now when I go in reverse it makes a sound like something is dragging on the ground. Checked underneath and nothing is hanging and the noise does not occur in any other gear. Any ideas?

 

bump - it only makes the noise when reversing quickly, normal backing up it does not happen.

 

you are winding out 1st gear? that is what reverse normally is. Have you changed the fluid? Never know you could have bumped somthing enough to go loose in the tranny.
