nokian wr winter tires
Hello all, I was just wondering what everyone is riding on for winter tires. I have used the nokian wr for 3 seasons and absolutely love them. A few of my friends have them as well and most of my family have either the wr or the nokian vativa which is their suv tire. I paid $540 cash for a set of 205/55/16's. I live east of Buffalo in the country with plenty of hills and unplowed roads and this is the tire to get - give them a try.
Peace

I got Nokian Hakka 2's. I live in Canada, riding around in the slush and snow, they have been amazing so far. I have only had them on for about a month maybe a bit more, but the conering ability with these tires and the quattro is awsome. Right after a fresh snow fall, you can still take corners aggressively.

Yeah Joey - nokian makes the only true all season tire in my opinion. The wr is rated for extreme snow and ice designated by the snowflake inside of the mountain on the sidewall. plus its a 60,000 mile tire. I used my first set for 2 seasons, about 20,000 miles and they still were like new. When the weather warms up or the roads are just dry, they handle very well with little flex, noise or wear . I used mine in the spring when I kayak and would go down muddy trails with no worries and then onto the QEW up to Toronto doing an avg. of 85 up to 135 mph with total control. Go to their website and watch the video and check out their test track, it speaks for itself.

I've been running Blizzak MZ-1's for three seasons now, love them. Living in Minneapolis it used to snow, now it just thinks it does. We have had alot more slush the past few years than anything else, but it still snows a couple of inches at a time. Never been stuck, even though I've got H&R lowering springs and Koni's.
