Working with a stock 96 A4 2.8 FWD 5-spd

I recently got a new stock clutch, transmission mounts, and am in the process of putting in new oil pan gaskets, valve cover seals, and motor mounts (havn't purchased mounts yet). I am wondering if I didn't really want to invest in a turbo system what options am I looking at for hp gains. Obviously exhaust is one thing, but i'm looking to pack on a good punch more than just exhaust. If I do have to look at a turbo what might you recommend.

Any input would be appreciated.

 

you definetly bought the wrong car if you are looking to modify there is nothing out there for the 12V engines but then again you bought the most relible one the 12V's are bullet proof

 

Well there are a few things out there like polished throttle bodies, bored out MAF's and velocity stacks. Nothing to get you over 200 hp though. Check out the 12 valve forum on Audiworld. http://forums.audiworld.com/12v

 

How about G2 supercharger from PES.

 

a supercharger would blow that motor up IMO.........12v dosent flow very much air
