noob...98 a4 questions
hello all. I am new here and have had my 98 30v a4 for a few months now. I have done some exterior mods for look but I now want to get into engine mods to boost my performance. I have some money to spend but I cannot go crazy. What would be the best few mods to start off with?
Ugh you guys might want to actually read his post. He has a V6 not a 2.0t. There really aren't many performance upgrades except an expensive supercharger (other than exhaust, and little other things)
you might want to get the car to ride right (turning that is) and get it to brake before you get the motor all jacked up. Learn to handle the power you have. Go to some driving schools or do some autoX. Best thing to spend 200-300 bucks on is a good comfortable helmet.
Then look at some shocks, springs, brakes. Neuspeed makes a Chip but it is only 8HP (claimed not proven). A short shifter is a nice mod. Another one is a DTS (Drive Train Stabilizer, this reduces lag between gears caused by the transmission twisting under the touqe). Most mods for the 2.8 30v are few and far between.
Super Charging is a great idea but back to how I opened this reply post, learn to handle the power you have now before adding more. This sound dumb but it is the smartest thing you could do.
Enjoy your Audi, and make sure to search the forums before you post about what chip, springs, shocks, and so on. Most these questions have been asked already and there is alot of feedback out there. But if you post and some one replies for you to search don't worry.
Enjoy,
