check engine light shouldnt go on becasue of a chip

If you like how the car gets moving stock , you will LOVE it when its chipped!!
CHIP IT ! And get a new DV.
Beither should throw a CEL.
Not the worst thing if the CEL comes on , just VAG it , and fix it.

 

Cool. I just ordered the vag tool that works with a laptop, so im looking forward to that. The software that comes with it is shareware I guess, I wonder if there is a way to get a serial crack for the full version. If I start out with a diverter valve will I notice any difference without getting chipped right away?

 

not really i dont think u will feel anything maybe it might be more responsive but no power gains

I just installed my dv, in under 20 minutes...and all i got out of it was a little bit more noise between shifts....it hasnt given me much performance...but now i'm ready for the chip. APR's 93 oct. program , BIA BIA!

 

Na , you wont notice anything with a new DV on stock boost.
Once you are running 1.0 BAR you will tho.
