Not an A4 guy but have a question...

ok, my brother is looking into getting an a4 and is wondering about a stock turbo.

do all turbo a4s have ko4s or do some have ko3s as well?

all a4 turbos have K03s, the newer ones i believe 2000 and 2001 had k03 sport which would boost power to 180hp instead of the 150. K04 is an upgrade parts, it is traditionally known as the RS4 turbo.

Uhhh, the s on the end of the ko3s is Sport. The older ones are just ko3. But if you ask Borg Warner about the turbo, they will say there is no ko3sport turbo even though it is a litter bigger and more effient.
