a couple of little tests
1. remove the oil filler cap and see if oil is getting up there with the engine running if yes suspect the sensor
2. check the wiring to the oil pressure/temp sensor
3. get an oil pressure test done

the sensor/wiring have been popping up as an issue lately my mates did the same so he had the sensor changed and no problems since then

Yeah search under my name... I just had this problem. Its around $2,000 CAD for the engine flush, new pump and all the piping and lines.

The dealership should do it under warranty with all the paperwork, but I'd trust what clcoversion said since he works in the industry and has been helping me out. If I were to do it over again, I don't know what I'd do. You have to drop the engine so you need an engine lift or hoist, replace the piping and oil pump... If you bought the car at the dealership, I would defaintely make a huge fuss and big deal over this. The Audi rep I am dealing with said the dealerships are "allowed" to pay out a certain amount of money in cases like this. PM me if you want more details... I have been writing everything down as I may be in Arbitration with Audi Canada.

I hope for your sake it is a sensor, but I'd definately get it looked at asap. I was lucky enough not to have damaged any internals.

it could be that simple, I hope you changed the oil filter as well if you did what was the old filter like?? some people change the oil and don't bother with the filter (big mistake) especially on a turbo

it could have been a bit of muck blocking an oil-way and the new oil+filter got rid of it but only time will tell
