I've made my mistakes but I've also been working since I was 15, so I paid most if not all when I did whatever to whatever.

germanautodismantlers.com has been excellent to me and very reasonably priced.

And just because.....

ok just so we can clear this up. i am NOT paying for this, i dont pay for the maintenace at all, my PARENTS do. what i am saying is that i want to find a place to find the parts for a little as i can. and i was getting alittle bit cocky with the ebraking cuz i was doing so well until i came around that car and bam. im getting drunk tonight so ill feel better about this whole chaotic situation.

Pay for the repairs and maintnance yourself and it will make you "feel better" in 10 years, because you didnt mooch off your parents or not assume responsibilty for your actions.
I was wondering when someone would say something...if I f*cked up like this, my parents wouldn't ask me why or how, they'd say, "Damn,, Josh. That's really a shame. Looks like you need another job." If I had to make an insurance claim, there's that option. And that would be that. They might loan me the money and make me pay interest.
I guess it's admirable that you have some vestige of a conscience--- you allegedly feel bad and want to cut the cost of this repair, but it's completely your fault. You should be looking at ways to cut the cost not so that your parents pay less, but so that you pay less. You should look into cheap replacement parts and then do the work yourself. I mean, them paying maintenance is one thing, but this isn't an oil change or a clutch replacement. This is a big repair necessitated by your own ineptitude/stupidity. It simply sounds like you're trying to get out of paying for your own mistake that was 100% avoidable.

Try shokan, although word has it they're overpriced. For example, in a desperate hour I called them about the steering knuckle, which is basically a big piece of cast iron with different holes for suspension bits to bolt into. $245 without shipping. And this thing is a hollow piece of iron. Car-part.com has worked well. Classifieds might net you a shock or a wheel or something, but that's a long shot. ECS tuning or tirerack for other things.

......well Johnson.....that is the problem right there......lol.....jk...Sorry to hear about your car juice, but fwd drifts are not very controlable. I used to do it in my gsr, and I dont know how I didnt ever wreck it. You should sell it and get a quattro, then you next time, you wont have to worry about curbs.......

WTF is wrong with some of you guys. Juice comes here, realizing he did a stupid thing, needed to vent, and you hang him out to dry like a bunch of high and mightly driving queens. Unless you were sitting next to him when he had his accident, keep your ignorant insults to yourself. The guy is 16 and he's just had a very expensive and humbling learning experience. Cut him some slack.

Quattro will not save you on snow and ice. He hit the curb because he's a novice driver (no offense, dude), a novice driver in a quattro won't be any better.
