That would be awesome. Do you have a Ross-Tech USB cable?

So my head is exploding with information at the moment.

I've decided the best route is to go a VAG-COM cable and hook up to an interface on a computer.

I'll be installing a Touch Screen and Mac Mini, so I will be wanting to access OBDII Data from the Carputer.

With a OBDII Cable, I'll have eliminated the need for a stand-alone unit as I'll have a computer there at all times.

that would be a super sweet setup specially with the bluetooth. How would that work though woud you have a plug in device in your socket thingy and it would just be a blue tooth one with no cord that would put out a signal? i didnt even know they made that but that sounds awsome. Also how much is this setup going to cost you? i know the mini mac is somewhere around $500 what screen would you run? thanks

I'm just getting my generi tool registered through Ross-tech today. I would recommend just going all the way with rosstech. they have mad support. Mine works fine and can do everything, but you have to register the SW to get all the listings of the codes.

i'm a fan of using products that just work, my time is worth more to me than the savings I'd make buy buying generic and hoping it works. I got the HEX-USB+CAN interface last week and I've done everything i needed to do on both my A4 and the r32 and had no problems at all with it. Great quality product.

I didnt get a chance to try it in VirtualPC today, I'll give it a shot tonight if i can find my windows CDs
