Default Odd noise, related to climate control.

Every now and again when my heater is on, i will get a humming/buzzing sound coming from the front of the car, seems to be passenger side. Its not particularly loud, and only happens when the climate control is on. I am farely certain is has something to do with the blower fan, and have searched here and found a couple posts pertaining to something similiar, but nothing definitive. Its very intermedant, i can drive for a hundred or more miles before hearing it again. Anyhow, figured someone might have encountered this. I have a 2001 30v 2.8 Quattro. O, and "Hi" to everyone as I've been lurking here for months just reading and searching ****.

Yup me too after I changed my cabin filter. The filter looked original I think dirt or dust landed on fan and caused the problem when i pulled it out. I bet a cleaning of the area along with some fresh grease will solve the problem.

Awesome! Thanks guys. She has 64k on it, and I was gonna do the cabin filter when called for at 80k, but Im ordering some stuff from ECS anyhow, so I'll just a get new cabin filter, make sure everything is clear and that the fan is clean and not rubbing anything.
