do the a4's come with a change oil sensor or is that only on a6's? if so would a 97 a4 q have this option oronly in newer years!!!

 

I dont think a 97 A4 would have that feature. My 2001 doesnt. If anything, its just going to let you know every somany miles regardless if you do it or not.

Just do it every 3-5k miles.

 

My 1999.5 tells me when I need an oil change but it is based off mileage, you reset the ECM when performing the oil change and it counts out 7500 miles and reminds you that you are due for an oil change. I don't believe any cars have a sensor that tests viscosity.

 

my 2001 would tell me service intervals by mileage. but i changed my ever 2.5-3k becuase of the extra powre i was running
