Oil Change light after 100k
I have a strange problem. 1998 Audi A4 2.8 automatic.
I had my oil changed at around 96k miles. At 100k I had the dealership do the JE Control arm recall and fix an issue with the sunroof. They were supposed to flush the carbon out of the intake and they told me they would have to do an oil change. Looking at my receipt it looks like they didn't do an oil change or fix the carbon problems. However I am now at 102k and have not seen the oil service light come on.
Question 1 : What is the interval on miles for an oil change?
Question 2: Does the service light still remind you even after 100k?
Question 3: Is there anyway to tell when the last true oil change was through the ros-tech software?
Question 4: Should I just bite the bullet and do an oil change now just in case?
Thanks for the help.

RE: Oil Change light after 100k
Well you can go into the ECU with a vagcom and set the oil change duration by days or mileage. It is just a simple counter, it doesn't know when the oil has been changed. I would contact the dealership to see what the indicated they have done to it. If you have any doubt then just go get an oil change. Better safe than sorry.
