I have a 2008 B7 A4 S2.0T quattro

I commute about 100 miles per day, mostly 55/65 mph drives with a few stop lights. I go pretty moderate on the car (I pass slow drivers a lot). Country highways driving into the city basically.

Anyone have a suggestion for oil change intervals for a car that isn't stop & go so much? 7.5k or stick with 5k miles with a compliant synthetic.

Also, these forums are amazing! Changed my N80 valve and a coil pack in a very short amount of time. Now if I could just get some pretty headlights....

Your drive sounds like mine, 47 miles to work, 47 miles back! I have been doing mine after 7500 miles has passed. Last oil change was just over 7700 miles ago. I need to get it in soon, but am not worried about it either. I would probably go to 10k before it really started to bother me. I do check my oil weekly and have to add about half a quart every 2k miles or so.

My B7 gets exactly 101 miles a day on it during a work week, and uses a qt of 5-20 synthetic every 2 weeks like clockwork. I have came to the conclusion that I never have to do an oil change, just change the filter every 6 months or so...

So if you are using synthetic, every 15k is fine.

Sounds like you are using about twice as much oil as me. You are right it almost feels like the car is changing the oil for you! I still do an oil change as you never know if the old stuff is sitting in the crank case and you are burning off the new stuff.
