so after fixing the flange at the back of my block which im told is common i've also been told that the sludge in my resevoir could be my oil cooler or quite possibly the radiator leaking tranny fluid into the coolant system.

any of you have the same problem. changed oil cooler and noticed a difference or radiator.

 

It could be either depending on what is leaking into the radiator...oil or transmission fluid.

Sludge in the radiator could also be caused by mixing green antifreeze with G12. Did you top up with the wrong antifreeze?

 

ive only topped off with h2o. i was waiting to fix the leak before i went and spent all kinds of money of g12.
but now i have g12. still havent put it in though cause i wanna fix either the oil cooler or tranny fluid leak.
whatevers leaking into the coolant.

the tranny lines hook up to the radiator down near the bottom right?

 

As I recall, yes. Have you checked for coolant in the oil or "cafe-au-lait" oil?

 

yup checked for coolant in the oil. didnt see anything out of the ordinary. smelled it and still nothing. i dont know if the g12 smells like syrup like the green kind.
