well im looking to get a SMIC and or a oil cooler. i think im gonna do a oil cooler first just beucase my oil temps get pretty high on hot days. are these two add on's worth the cash? what should i expect to pay for a oil cooler setup and what are some good/bad comnpanies? also is a side mount really worth the 700-800 or should i just stick with the oil cooler and see how that goes. any info or comments are welcome. thanks for the help

 

how hot do your oil gets ?

 

I think FMIC would be better, but the oil cooler is a good idea but if its getting hot yo u may want to make sure that the engine is clean.

 

im getting to temps at 100-110 on hot days

 

im assuming thats in C and hot F, so about 220 to 235 about ya thats a little warm, have you cahgned your Fluid may want to add alittle more water, or just flush out the system and see if the water pump is getting old and gunkled up, jsut some thoughts

 

thanks ya my oil only goes that high on really hot days like 28+ but ya on normal days the oil doesent get too hot. i jsut want my car to run nicely during the hot days so it doesent feel like im driving a 2SLOW

 

my oil gets to the same temp on real hot days also. I recently had my water pump replaced though. If you decide to get an oil cooler...fill us in on the process of installing it. I may be interested in that.
