Does anyone know where the oil filter on the 06 Audi A4 2.0T engine is located? I believe its the cannister type with a changeable element. Is it difficult to get to? Thxs

 

Its on the drivers side of the block. Same location as the 1.8 filter. It is indeed a canister style. You can reach it from the bottom. There is a cap on the end that you unscrew. The housing has a 36mm socket end. Could be a 34mm. If its not on to tight you can use a large wrench to unscrew it. You may also need to disconnect the electrical connector on the engine mount. Its kinda in the way. All in all its in a pretty wide open spot thou. Also make sure you remove the oil fill cap before you drain the oil or else it will drain very slowly.
