Oil Pan cracked
JB weld should work fine, it doesnt expand or contract and its good up to 500ºF
I have used JB weld to fix a stripped (and chewed out) threaded hole in a head where the rockers are mounted... Drove the hell out of that car too, 7,000RPM's daily in every gear for over a year after the repair was done... The guy I sold the car to has had it for over three years with no problems... The lower half of the hole still had threads, those were the only threads re-used... I did not use a helicoil or anything... I screweda newbolt down and filled the rest of it with JB weld through the missing chunk of metal shown below... Let cure for two days (overly cautious)...
