I learn't my leason with those cupholders had to replace 2 climate contol heads (thank you Audi assured) stuff kept spilling out onto this unit causing it to act up buttons would not work half the time

 

I've been fine with my shitty ones in the center, till you take your first turn
and then you have coke in your lap, then you're walking funny to work, because your
pants are now stuck to your leg with a nice wet brown stain.

i wish i could put the damn drinks in the glove box securely, like a fridge

get the passat cupholders. the ones that secure onto the passenger side of the center console. check www.clairparts.com they're a little pricey but definitely worth it if you drink in your car. i've tested them with very spirited driving and they are solid.
