OMG - What have I done!
Interesting. What forums are you looking at eisman? I still want to get a chip.
As a followup to all of this, I thought I should let everyone know what was wrong with the car. I ended up just taking it to my local shop first before getting the ECU. It turns out that the issue was exactly as was described by the error codes. Basically, there was an issue with the vaccum system and the temp sensor, and as a result, the ECU couldn't adapt properly after being reset. The car worked fine before I reset the ECU because it had adapted to a functional system. At some point, the parts went bad and it wasn't until I reset the ECU that the issues presented themselves. My shop replaced the following: Suction Jet Pump, Check Valve, Main Vaccum Hose, Misc Hoses and Clamps, Dual Temp Sensor and Seal. They also remove some carbon buildup in the throttle body. My Total bill was $290. Parts were $80, labor $185. I feel OK about the service done, even though I am sure I could have done it myself if I could afford to invest the time and buy the right tools.
Anyhow, thats that. Now I just need to make it faster!
