open downpipe?

i was thinking about buying an atp 3" downpipe and runing it open until i get my custom straight pipe made. is there any downsides to runing an open down on an a4 besides being really loud. no damage done?

IT will be REALLY REALLY loud and you will want to kill your self every time you dive the car, it will also cause extreem heat to hit the fire wall and floor boards of your car that could cause damage
