Default Outside temp?????

I read in the owners manual that the outside temp will read "slightly" higher when the car is sitting still or at very low speeds, but it was 76 degrees outside and the gauge read 94 degrees. To me that is not slightly higher! Does anyone know where the sensor is located in the engine bay so I can move it so it will read more accurately.

TIA

It picks up engine heat, it will stabilize after you have been driving a short distance.

the sensor is located between the front bumper and the radiator. Make sure the bracket that holds it in free space hasnt broken. It often beaks and if it falls on something hot it will read incorrectly.

To be more specific it's on the bottom front of the radiator attached to the bottom of the power steering fluid cooler.
