Default Over boosting?

I recently installed a boost gauge in my vent to see where my stock boost was at. It worked great for a few weeks up until now. My car seems to be over boosting to 10 psi and if I floor it in 5th gear while around 2K rpms and hold the throttle till full boost kicks in it sounds like its leaking out of my air intake and the boost jumps around from 10-12 psi. I also installed a cone filter intake. Could any of these be causing a problem with it? Im about to purchase the apr chip so I want my car to be problem free.

Some people claim to get an extra psi or two with an intake. Also you will see more psi in heavier load situations. Just becuase the car is suppose to be at Xpsi, doesnt mean it wont be at Ypsi in a heavier load situation (going up hill or in to high of a gear).

i need to tune my car in 4th gear not 3rd because i overboost in 4th and 5th because of the extreme loads

It feels quicker with more boost, just strange because it never did this with the intake until now

that is a prime example of heavy load. It always did this and you never noticed before until now i guess

And that noise your hearing is the air flowing into the intake and increasing as boost increases. When i had a intake, it sounded like i could suck in small children in my intake when boosting.

My car did that when it was stock in 4th and 5th at low RPM's or when driving up hills it is normal.

just an aem dryflow filter in place of the airbox. I think the a/f ratio is off. The boost is jumping constantly all over the place in every gear occationally.
