Hi all , been having some trouble with my 99 a6 2.5tdi 150 ..

First thing was the gearbox , or so i thought , slow shifting , holding gears longer than needed ,etc ..

Then a loss of power a week later

Then smoking whilst waiting at lights or in cues ....this wasm diagnosed as the engine beather filter being blocked

Took it to my audi specialist for a diagnostics test , they said that there were 4 faults , i didnt get wot ones they found .. however they changed the breather filter , and the boost valve then a day later due to a sick engineer the car finally went for a road test and then promptly blew the boost valve , today they recieved another one on , test drove it and alas ,, still overboosting , so back to the drawing board and so far 7 days with no car still im sure they will sort it ,anyone with any ideas ,,

im thinking of a crudded up turbo etc

yep my mates turbo did that and lots of white smoke at first then it turned blue because it was oil being pumped into the exhaust system ( turbo spindle had snapped ) and you could hear it
