yeah you need to unfasten the gas tank and pry it down with a 2x4.
That gives you enough room to change it. I hated that job. It was a tough one.

I have really BAD mileage on my 99 2.8 Quattro. I get 350 KM's on a 45 Litre Tank if that means anything to anyone who is canadian on this forum. Some outside a Tim Hortons told me that I should change, he said "Air sensors" on my car. He said there are 2, one in the front and one in the rear, Is he right? Did he mean something else that you guys know of that would increase my mileage for my car?

Sorry to steal the thread guys. Also my car also a slight tremble, coudl this be because of O2 sensors. Too bad there are no AUTOZONES in Canada...CRAP!!! at least I could know if any codes are being thrown out....

I would def start by replacing the pre-cat O2 sensor. You'll get better fuel mileage too!
I already said this. The post cat sensor has nothing to do with fuel mileage, it does not correct the fuel mixture or alter the fuel map. It is purely for monitoring.

Don't know where in Canada you are, but if you are in Toronto, Vancouver or major cities, someone locally will have a VAG-Com and would pull your codes. Check for a local Audi club.

I've posted the ever handy 'VAG-Com locator' Linky below. Most people are in the US, but if you scroll through, you will find a few Canadian members.

Linky

Price of use is usually beer.
