P0117...Engine Coolant Temp Circuit Low Input.PLEASE HELP!!!
Yes I do know when it is overheating or not, but what I am trying to say to you, that the error code only came on when the temp light came on and it started to drop to the H..
Then i would first change the coolant temp sensor, then see if the gauge fluxuates.
That is the cheapest and probably the first thing you should do before replacing the pump, plus it eliminates the sensor.

Ok...Well I will do that, but why would it only do it when it overheats then?
When I took the small hose off the G-12 tank, it was not pumping water back into it?
Also when I took the front hose off and stuck and took the temp it was reading about 210..
Sorry, but I really need help
Please call if you get a chance..
thanks!

210! Holy crap thats hot!!! Thats the normal temp for the for oil inside the engine. There shouldn't be much water being pumped into the expansion tank however just a very slow steady stream. It definately sounds like your water pump is toast if the coolant is that freaking hot. It shouldn't be higher than 150 degrees by the radiator.
150 sounds a little low. You got to think it 100 degrees outside also...
the guy today told me it sound run between 190 and 210...
Also the engine oil temp is also reading higher then normal.

BS. Mine runs at 110 into radiator and 95 out, of course the S4 has a better cooling system but the A4 shouldn't be anymore than 20 degrees higher than that. Trust me your water pump isn't working up to par with those numbers. I look at these temps on A4's everyday.
Coolant temp gets hotter, engine gets hotter, then the oil will naturally get hotter. Don't drive it too long like that especially if you're not running synthetic, you run the chance of boiling you oil causing sludge, bearing wear, ect.
I gaurantee to you its the water pump. Even if your CTS sensor was malfunctiong your oil temp should never rise. You still might have to replace you CTS sensor as well for that fault code.
