P1613
I have had my car for two months now, out of that time I only about have driven it for a month due to electrical problems.
The problem was narrowed down to the ECU, today I replace my ECU (found one on ebay with the exact serial as mine) pop it in, bam problem fixed, my car no longer shuts off, it can maintain a proper idle (Im back to 150hp though =/) But everytime you start the car the check engine comes on with the P1613 code, I looked it up and it is something to do with ECU connections / TCU connections. Has anyone experianced this before?
After I have this fix it is very likely Im getting rid of the A4, the car is a black sheep. Nothing but problems. Invested around 2700 dollars now AND ITS STILL NOT RUNNING PROPER!
/fed up =/

RE: P1613
P1613 = Malfunction indicator lamp [ MIL/CEL ] - open circuit / short to positive, fault is Wiring open circuit/short to positive which basically means the wiring to the engine warning light has a short making the CEL live all the time

RE: P1613
The car is really bad luck. after the bumper got repainted, it was scratched up even more than it was before the repaint from other people parking onto it. It was the only car to be covered in bird crap among 5 other cars parked in the same area, its a black sheep. I have to think hard.
