Default Parking Brake adjustment

I drive an 2002 A4 1.8T w/ quattro, manual

I just replaced the pads on all four tires and now am wondering how to adjust the parking brake. I read somewhere that you need spacers or something? any help to get me in the right direction would be great . thanks

what do u mean by adjusting the parking brakes? i just did mine too. the brakes won't work when ur done because the pressure is going to be messed up. just pump the pedal and pull the e brake like mad for like 5 min lol.

The brakes are working fine, i pumped them, and did the same with pulling the e-brake. but the lever is coming up way to far, so i need to know how to adjust it.

well im not really sure there's a way to adjust that. mine pulls up pretty far too. i think mine goes up 3/4 way or so. that's usually how high they're supposed to go. with my old brakes, i would pull them all the way up and they would barely work. unless it feels way too loose u should be fine

With the lever up all the way do you still have moderate braking? There is a way to adjust the parking brake but I think you'll need a lift for that.
