Go drive an Integra Type-R... and drive it hard. It WILL put a smile on your face.

And there wasn't a rattle to be heard in the one I drove... it was a very tight car. I just don't like how honda's feel... it is like they are drive by wire, with no feedback sometimes. Meh. The 'teg was a blast though once I worked up the courage to rev it (it wasn't my car).

You said you prefered the newer civics, thus the impeccable taste comment...

If people get past their ricer = Honda = weedwhacker bias, the Hondas are some of the best made cars on the planet, along with Toyota, and our nice german stuff. Vtec is a stunning bit of kit. Easy to drive like a granny, and so much fun to rag the bollox off. Its asksing to be revved to buggery! 'teg type R is an amazing handling car, especially as it is fwd. the civic type R is almost as good. Certainly better than the focus RS, and the Alfa 3.2 in the 146 (I think its the 146). At the end of it, it's a Honda, which is certainly no bad thing...

LOL.....I was thinkin the same thing.
I used to have an integra gsr....I loved that car. Vtec was almost more fun than having a turbo. And a built b18c in a hatch can be seriously quick on the street. I know my car even with the gt28rs could get smoked by some all motor hondas. I have a lot of respect for the fast "non rice" ones.

Si's are pretty quick. I test drove a turbo'd one before I bought my Audi. It was a '99, that electric blue color with black 17's with a polished lip, real nice. It was lowered about 2 inches on those black 6 spoke Enkei's. I didn't buy the thing because it was a stolen recovery title, so they were asking $11,500 for a car that was worth about $5K. The guy also removed the A/C unit and power steering pump to juice a little more power out of it so that would have cost me a little bit to replace.

A more probable reason he removed the a/c is to fit the turbo in their. I know on gsr's to fit a t3/t4, without relocating the turbo, it is damn near impossible to get a turbo to fit in their.
