Please help in identyfying a Chassis #
Hello,
I just registered because I'm trying to replace a timing belt on my friends 2000 TT quatro. I posted this in a TT forum but have gotten no replies. I noticed this forum has more volume and probably more knowledge as well.
I'm also replacing all the valves since the belt snapped at 68000 miles (dealer told him it should be changed at 90000).
When I'm trying to order parts it asks me for a chassis number . either up to 095000 or 095001+.
Please let me know how to find out which one I've got.
Thanks

as its a 2000 model they will be concerned about the engine BHP and the engine code should be enough, APX and BAM are 225 bhp from 2000-04,
AJG-APP FROM 1999-04 ARE 180 BHP,
ARY-AUQ FROM 2000-04 ARE 180 BHP
these engine codes are for the European market and US might be different due to emissions
