Guys, does anyone have the podi boost guage setup on their tiptronic cars? If so, does the boost gauge block your view of your dash that tells you what gear your in? Please post some pics.

I am thinking about getting the podi setup, but as I drive 99% of the time in tip mode, when I look down to see what gear I'm in, I'd like to know the boost gauge isnt going to be blockin my view.

 

Get a vent-mounted guage.

The podi supposedly is offset so it doesnt block anything, but I cant say for sure, they dont make one for a b5.

Mine will either go in a vent or in the dash.

 

+1 i believe it is offset but i cannot say for sure if it will block your view

 

Yeah, it is offset, but I've only seen pics of it mounted in a man trans car...so that doesnt really help me.

I was thinking about going with the awe vent, but it just looks kinda out of place stuck in the middle of the vent. (On the B6) The B5 looks better because it has the space seperating the vents.

 

I have a tip with a podi.. here are pictures... it shows what it blocks and doesnt block.(it doesnt block anything except mph under maybe 10 miles an hour) I'd highly recommend the podi one... it looks good.

It doesn't block any information on the DIS and the bottom part is in clear view of the driver.

And the B5 one will be here this spring and here are the pics of the final prototype. The steel mold is being cut now and the first injection molded sample will arrive in 4 weeks time.
