Is it possible to drift an A4 Q?
Theoretically yes. I've seen some awesome drifts from AWD cars. Usually its either an EVO, STi, or Skyline GTR though. A stock A4 doesn't really have the power to drift with how heavy it is. I'm sure the Stasis A4 that I've seen so much of recently would be a decent drift car, although it could possibly need a bit more power, I'm not sure.
I haven't really tried to drift on dry pavement yet, my tires are basically new so they're pretty tacky still. Although when it's wet it's WAY easy, I've been out for the last half hour drifting around. I'm still getting used to AWD, I'm used to a truck with RWD to slingshot me around the corner so it's really strange to have the front pull as well as the rear pushing me through the corner.
DRIFT??? HELL YEAH. I was in some dirt the other day and damn!!! I had so much fun. Down here in FL we don't get any snow so it kinda sucks. But I can only imagine how fun it is in the snow.
My front tires are garbage, so they'll slip an understeer REALLY bad.
We set up a small course the other say with some slaloms and such, I got the rear end to swing out a bunch of times, but it wasn't easy because of my crappy tires. My friend in his A4 was able to rip it up a little better than me. I did our little track in 36.XX seconds, he did it in 33.XX. I had the rear end hit one barrel the entire time and that's only because of how we set up the course...
I'l try to make a paint diagram or something.
