Possible error in Bentleys on control arm gap
'98.5 A4 1.8T QTIP..... My Bentleys shows the gap between the upper control arms and the mounting bracket to be 47MM. When I removed the originals the gap was much larger, but I went ahead with the 47MM. After installing I found a write up in the Tech Section that refers to a 57MM gap (closer to what I measured on the originals). Is my Bentleys wrong? And if so should I go back and correct the gap?
