Hey guys/gals,

I have always wanted to venture into the Audi world but have not yet. I've owned a bunch of japanese cars/trucks and american cars/trucks but never any german vehicles. I have a couple questions for the experts on this site. I'm looking into a B5/B6 A4 avant with manual transmission. Here are the questions:
1) Are there any years I should try to avoid?
2) In colorado should I go for the 1.8T or 2.8 V6?
3) If i go the turbo route...can I make the v6 power levels pretty reliably and easily?
4) I plan on doing 95% of my own repairs...should I run and hide from VW/Audi products or are these cars pretty easy to wrench on?
