Default power steering fluid flush

Hi..guys,

I think I made a big mistake today during the flushing power steering fluid. When I drained old fluid I turned on the engine too long. Instruction says no longer than 4 sec, but I did it for more than 10sec.
Anyway I finished it and test drove it. Problem is a lot of bubbles and more noise when turning wheel (u turn or parking). I guess lots of air in the PS system now... Will it be OK, or should I go to stealership?

I would get that air out ASAP! You don't want to hit a huge bubble and get it blocked in your system. Then you will be running your power steering pump dry (no fluid due to air in system) and that could burn it out.

Lift both front wheels off the ground. With engine running,
turn the wheel all the way left and then right. Add fluid and keep
turning until the bubbles are gone.

Thanks for advise.
There's no big bubble coming out, but still I can see a lot ofmicro small bubbles after I turn the wheel. do I still have to be worried about this?

Would anyone explain why the car should be jacked up off the ground when turn the wheel?
Thanks in advance!!!!

It can't be good for your car to turn the wheels a bunch with out the car moving. I think it puts a lot of extra stress on the pump.

That's the way I've always heard to do it. There is less stress with the wheels up off the ground.
