Default Power Sunroof = Keyless Entry??

Is a 1997 A4 with the power sunroof supposed to have keyless remote entry? If so, how would one go about getting a remote that works, if the car doesn't already have one?

Thanks,
--Chris

All 97s had keyless entry. You can go on ebay and find a three button (lock, unlock, panic) switchblade with a blank key if you want. The two I bought off of ebay came with programming procedures too.

This type?

...also, is there anything more to getting a second key (not fob) cut than literally having it cut? In other words, are they transponder keys?

I may not have a choice but to go back to a dealer for programming, as I only have one key for it. (...and if I'm not mistaken, you need two keys to program a fob, right?)

Thanks,

and if you put the key in the keyhole and hold it to the left, all the windows roll down. ;] and if you hold it to the right, they will all roll up. including the sunroof if it's open or cracked ;]

Just discovered how to control the windows via the key this afternoon, quite by accident. Startled me a bit, as I wasn't expecting parts of the car to move independently. [sm=insomnia.gif]
