Default Is this a problem (Boost after chip)

Hi all,

I have just installed a Autometer Boost gauge in my APR stage1 chipped 2002 1.8T CVT because I thought I wan't getting enough power.
I did some research and found that I should be getting 15-20vac on idle ( I am getting about 16vac) and 14.7psi (1bar) at WOT.

But my problem is that the boost starts to drop after 4500rpm and by the time I am past 5000rpm it is down to 10psi. Does this mean I have a leak or is that pretty normal.

thanks

Serkan

Yes Dave thats what I have seen...

My main worry is ( I had mentioned this beforein another post) my cars 0-60 came 8.1 with chip which is alot slower than rated. But I don't know where the problem is if its not the boost leak.

K03 can only push so much air and starts to run out of steam.

Hmm ok looks like my problem is not a leak then.

Do you guys have any idea why my 0-60 would be that bad then . 8.1sec chipped (GTECH).

I tested the gtec with a 2000 BMW 3.28i and it came out 7.0secs which is inline with the stock specs for that car. So it is not the gtech that is wrong either.

Does anybody know how I should be launching with a CVT.

Sorry, don't know much about the CVT or what the time should be for one, chipped or not.
