ok, so i tried searching, but could'nt find an answer.
I put in my speedtuning flashed computer on friday, and a boost gage at the same time.. so since i dont know what boost i had before, what is everyone with a stage I speedtuning chip seeing for boost? i seem to max out around 9psi.

ps. i dont know if i have a boost leak or some other problem, but im not as impressed with it as i was hoping for there seems like a little more top end, but i cant feel much noticable torque at all

 

no you def have a boost leak. right when i got my st chip i got a boost leak from old worn out vac lines that were used to seeing 7 psi. they are simple to replace and inexpensive. i see about 18 psi now with st chip pulls pretty haard for a lil ko3 in my opinion atleast

 

yeah i get about 18-20 psi spike and hold around 16 psi. i'd say you got a problem - could be your DV is busted too but idk

 

yeah true, didnt think of that... you running stock DV?

i would upgrade to the TT dv (710N) you can find them for like $30 or so and make a big difference

 

ok thanks. I just wasnt sure what i should be seeing but it sounds like im quite a bit low on my boost. Yes everything on the car is stock right now. I will start with checking for leaks, and then go for a new DV if i cant find any leaks to fix.

do you think a K&N panel would help too? I shied away from it because i dont want to foul out my mass air meter. I have tried K&N cones in other vehicles, but with mixed results. seems to make more noise than power in my truck anyway...

 

the stock DV will not hold up to a chipped car very long. that would be the first thing you should replace.

 

ok. Im crossposting here, since i have been chasing this issue for a while.. I have checked twice for boost leaks, and replaced my DV and im still only seeing about 8-10psi MAX. Im starting to wonder if the speedtuning tune i received is defective?
