I recently purchased a 2004 A4, 1.8 with the CVT. I love the car except recently the CVT is not always "engaging" at takeoff. In other words, I could be sitting at a stop sign and when it is my turn to go, I press on the accelerator and nothing. After a second or two, the car finally goes. This doesn't happen all of the time, but enough that my wife and I now hestitate what might happen at the stops.

I just took it to the shop and after the first test run, my wife informs me that, of course, it didn't occur. They are still looking. Has anyone else heard of this problem?
