Wow that is one long sentence. Your antifreeze should be a pink, not green. They/you obviously used the wrong stuff. Should be G12 A bunch of fluid shot out because the system is under pressure when the engine is warmed up/running. Youll need to do a complete flush when you put the right stuff in. You dont want to mix the pink stuff with the green stuff.

If youre taking it to a mechanic to get worked on, just put water in there and let the mechanic do the flush/fill. You need to get the correct fluid (G12) from the dealer though. Are you still having problems with your tranny?

After you have it flushed, you can fill it with universal global
yellow antifreeze.

You shouldnt be ignoring your tranny issue. You are in tranny limp mode, which means your engine is tying to pull you around in one gear (4th gear)- which is probably the reason for your engine over heating. A flush shouldnt cost more than $50 with new fluid. Your mechanic should be able to scan your ecu/tcu to find out why your stuck in limp mode/why engine is over heating if nothing else is very obvious.

Yeah, you sound more like a Honda kind of guy anyways. Good luck.
