Do you no how much a new ecu would be?

 

I disconnected the battery the check engine light went off butI think it will come back again and then I will go to auto zone to get it coded again

 

So I went to the mechinic the computer wouldnt read so he took out the tcm from under the seat it was soaking wet water was dripping out of it it had gotten flooded so he is goin to put a new 1 which is going to cost me about $700 and then he will read the computer again 2 see what happens after tat

 

Find out where the water is coming from, otherwise you will flood the new one too.

Most likely cause is either you drove through deep water, or the drain hole for the air conditioning is plugged. A third possible cause is the drain holes on the sunroof are plugged.

I'm betting on the air conditioning drain being plugged. Have the source of the water found before you ruin the new TCU.

As for transmission control units, you can probably get a used one from either shoksan or dads auto which are two major audi recyclers.
