Default Programming question please

I have read that it is possible to have the car lock it self after a set mph, and unlock itself when the key is removed. Is this true? Also is this something I would have to pay the (dealer) to do, or is there a way to program this feature myself.. thanks (02 A4)

i know on new domestic cars its a requirement to lock at 15 mph but since the germans drive faster maybe its at like 120 or 130

I just took it to the dealer and now my unlock button will roll down the windows when i hold the unlock button and they will roll up when i hold the lock button and i had the speed lock at 15 set and yes it does unlock when you take the key out... The dealer i went to in Arizona didn't charge me anything.. If you have VAG-COM you need to know the codes and it is possible to screw up your ECU.... They are set up a lot like a router.. and if you know anything about updating routers, they can F' up if the install doesn't go right, so for that reason i took it to the dealer and put the responiblity on them. NO CHARGE.

Yes it requires a Vag-Com. It's extremely easy to do.
