how common is it for the tensioner pulley to squeak i'm affraid that it's going to break!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I may be just guessing here but maybe...if it were me.... I'd replace it?

 

I am pretty sure this is one of the most common problems and they are prone to break. That is why so many places offer A4 timing belt kits with an updated tensioner pully.

 

How do you know it's the tensioner pulley that's squeaking?

 

accessory tensioner or timing tensioner?

 

Yeah I thought my Syncros were bad.

Then I started noticing it wasnt 1st gear

So im liek with.

Finally I do some examing and find out my WATER Pump **the tensionior** is hitting metal. When i shift gears. Cause loud noise.

GOnna fix it when i do tbelt

 

change the pulley ASAP Ive seen the damage that can cause when it goes
