Default Quattro in winter??

So I've read some of the old Quattro posts, and read a few posts about fun driving in the snow. I am driving my second 2.8Q and just love the car and its performance, esp the handling. However, as amazing as Quattro is on dry and rainy surfaces, in my experience it isn't that great in snow. Don't get me wrong, it allows for a lot of fun if want to slide around with some control. But for when your actually driving (ex. in traffic), it overspins and looses control a little too easily- sometimes at lower driving speeds. With all the unanticipated sliding, its hard to drive with that extra confidence in any city/traffic situation, regardless of well you can manuever in the V. For a world renown awd system, I would expect better.

Still love Quattro tho, just constructive crit.

what tires are you using? Put some good snows on there, that should make a big difference.
