Default Question about 99.5 Auto Trany Service

99.5 1.8 Auto Quattro

Is the auto (trip) trany servicable?

I was told that the trany was connected to the front diff and they use common fluid. (that is they both use the samereservoir) Is this correct?

If the tranny is sepperate from the front diff, does the diff use gear oil?

Thanks.

Thanks for the help.

I only need to buy 3 quarts for the tranny? Thought it would be much more than that.
