RE: question about ipod for 2004 A4 1.8T
Hi,
What did you end up deciding? I am in the EXACT same boat...
2004 A4 1.8T with Symphonny II / 6-disc in dash.
I also have a question about the Phatbox...my understanding is that its either / or...phatbox or ipod connectivity...am I correct by that assumption?
Since I have a 6-disc in dash, my ca is not prewired for the changer in the back...how would I go about the wiring if I decide to put the phatbox unit? Thanks guys (My first car AND first Audi, bought last month)

RE: question about ipod for 2004 A4 1.8T
Hi,
I am planing on doing the same thing to my car its on '04 a4 1.8t exact same as described bose system 6cd changer indash. Just spoke to the local Audi dealer he said that there are two cd changers available for your car one is indash and the second one (does not come with the car is an after market part but there is an available port for it in the audio system)can be mounted in the glove box or trunk. So technically you can have 12CD's to change in between. When you press the cd 1 button and hold it, it interchanges between the two cd changers(if you have a secondary). And if you get the Audi Ipod you can control it trough your system as well. And you also keep the indash 6cd changer so nothing is really lost unless you have a secondary cd changer. Let me know what you decide!
