what should my voltage read? i just got the car a week ago and it usually hovers around 14..not used to seeing a voltgage on the dash, so dont really know if its ok or not.

just make sure the gauges stay out of the red zone like if ur batt goes to 16 volts that could be bad but i realy dont know what u could to, i guss pull over and turn the engine off but run the fan and the radio tell u drain it a bit

 

Yea defiantly don’t wana run with it to high i had to put a new alternator on an old truck of ours and it put out to much voltage and literally exploded the battery, was not a fun thing, lol
