Questions about speakers and clips inside door panels
Guys,
I purchased a pair of PolkAudio DB6750 series speakers earlier. It is a 6.75" speaker and 1" tweeter. According to PolkAudio web site (a while ago), it suppose fits my 2004 A4 non-Bose audio system. So, I decided to install it today.
After I remove the door panel, I realized it didn't fit. Because my original speaker was sealed with the bracket so I couldn't just drop the new speaker in. What should I do at this point? Can I get a bracket for it? One of my friends said he can cut the speaker and the bracket so I can use the original bracket with the new speaker. I don't really want to do that because it might screw up everything.
Also, when I was removing the door panel, I broke a plastic clip inside the panel. I already put everything back in place but the door panel seens a little bit loose now. At the edge of the door, there is a small gap between the door and the panel. It doesn't make any rattle sound, but I'm just wondering will it be OK without one or two plastic clips?
I'm a little bit depressed now because I'm kind of fxxked up. First the speaker didn't fit, and second the door panel was not as tight as before. Can you guys please help me? Thank you very much.

There are about 6 plastic clips behind the door panel for front doors and 5 clips for the real door. They are very easy to break and I'm very sure you'll break few. So, make sure you get them from the dealer first before you remove panels. The part number is: 8E0 868 243 Try to get it from VW dealer because it's cheaper ($0.53 at VW and $1.30 at Audi).
