Default Quick Auto Transmission Question

I have a 96 2.8Q with 120K miles. The car has all the records and only has one previous, ritzy owner. Sometimes, it seems like the car revs to about 4K RPM before it changes into the low gears. This is a rather rare occurance and I just had a transmission service. Could this possibly be the modulator? Or is it something else?

Thanks!

Even mine does it sometimes - the transmission then is not the smoothest. I am not worrying cuz the transmission otherwise seems fine

the modulatar sappose to easy the gear shifting between shifts
if it shifts hard then the moudulatar valve is sticking
Wat i do is a quick snap on the accel pedal, not to much
to lift governer pressure then back to normal rpm thn it should shift
in to the next gear....it tricks the tranny to thinkin its going faster
